Augmented Memories by Stefan Cosma,
guest creative director at Madison
My most recent exhibition entitled 'Augmented Memories' is focusing conceptual wise on the relationship we develop with external memory devices, like iPhones and iPads.
Recently the intersection between personal memories that gravitate inside our brain, and the digital memories we record & stock in our external devices, became a focus of interest. Above that, I used some of the images taken with my iPhone as a preliminary canvas in order to overpaint or digitally modify it.
In the last years I followed with a lot of interest the trend of visual augmentation. Magazines and especially cinema turned from the classic 2D to 3D and our normal 3D perceptin got augmented through

the addition of a digital information layer.
As well as in terms of fashion, I'm fascinated by the construction or deconstruction of compositions through the juxtaposition of various layers.
From an olphactoric point of view, the use of fragrance follows the same concept. It represents nothing else than an added layer onto our own skin that has to match and perfectly blend with our skin and 'personal smell'. I personally use '888' from Comme des Garcons & Nasomatto's 'China White', the first one rather on a daily basis, and the second one for special ocassions.

very forefront and avant-garde tendencies of almost every creative domain I have a passion for. since a couple of years I try to stay up to date with innovations in contemporary art, design, music, gastronomy and also niche parfumery, developing a strong belief that 'minimalism' as a global trend has overpassed it's peek. My creativity is focused on a flamboyant and highly stimulating maximalism that combines retro&futuristic elements following the desire to reach a perfect blend of composing elements into a 'complex simplicity'.
To reach out for an equilibrium between antagonist structures, doesn't represent an easy task, but it's definitely a mission I love to take on creativity.
